Facility Use Agreements
- A Facility Use Agreement documents the assignment of space where the occupant may not have exclusive access or the use is for a special occasion for a short period of time.
- Real Estate Management interfaces with various university departments and auxiliaries to negotiate the facility use agreement rates as well as the terms and conditions.
- Real Estate Management prepares the agreements for execution.

Leasing of Real Property
- Off-Grounds Leasing - All requests for space at the University of Virginia are to be submitted on a Lease Justification Form to Space and Real Estate Management. The Lease Justification requires the approval of the program’s Department Head and Dean, Provost and the Vice President of Management and Budget. Generally, the leasing of space is considered an interim solution.
