Welcome to www.orientalarchitecture.com, a photographic survey of Asia's architectural heritage.  Here you can view over 5800 photos of 419 sites in fifteen countries, with extensive background information and 'virtual tours'. This website belongs to no one in particular—it is a collection of photos from many different contributors. If you would like to contribute your own photos please email the webmaster at timciccone@hotmail.com.  Contributions are greatly appreciated, as they form the bulk of this webpage.  Each contributor retains the rights to his/her photos and is credited in the appropriate places.  Photos may be submitted electronically or through regular mail.  Photos sent through postal mail can be scanned by us and returned at no charge (we will reimburse for ALL shipping/handling charges).

The geographical limits of this website correspond to areas heavily influenced by Buddhism, Confucianism, or Hinduism, either now or in the past.  Within this area, all historical architecture is eligible for inclusion on this website.

If you enjoy Asian architecture and have even a few photos, please consider contributing.  You can show your photos to the world without the hassle and expense of composing your own webpage.  Plus, here your photos will be seen by hundreds of visitors who view this site each week!
